Joe retired in 1998 from equity partnership in a ten-partner Chartered Accounting firm after 14 years, having trained with a large UK national firm.
For several years he has specialised in client care and practice marketing, especially for legal practices, and has carried out many consultancy projects and individual practice assignments. He has also worked in law firm management. He is a director of 'normal' and 'e-business' companies in the UK and USA, has lectured on the MBA course at the University of Exeter (where he also served on the audit committee for several years), and has mentored students on postgraduate courses at Southampton University's Innovation Centre.
He founded and directed LawZone, which was sold to The Lawyer in April 2003. In their words, 'Joe Reevy, LawZone's founder, has done a fantastic job in building an excellent service for the legal profession'.
He has had many publications on management and marketing topics in the legal and business press throughout the English-speaking world. He is regarded as a leading thinker on the future of legal practice and the impact of and use of Information Technology in particular. He is an experienced seminar leader and trainer who has spoken at conferences for firms and professional organisations, including the Law Society and Law Management Section, The Institute of Legal Executives, Exeter University, LawGroup, CLT, CLT Ireland and Managing Partner. He often works with ex-Bevan Ashford Managing Partner and leading practice management consultant Nick Jarrett-Kerr (http://www.jarrett-kerr.com/). He has pioneered the use of mentoring techniques to assist law firm managers to achieve their business and personal goals.

After a successful career in financial and management accounting, Carrie controls our highly successful Words4Business legal content division. She writes for several web sites and paper-based professional publications. She also has experience of Management Information systems in professional practice and has developed manuals for a legal software supplier.
